The Fiesta is the fast boat of the pair, running local trips and the longer runs up the line toward the Big Sur coast. On the long trips she sails a limited load of about 25 for elbow room, and the hot galley puts out breakfast burritos on the way out and burgers on the way back.
The Rita G started life as a U.S. Navy research vessel and came back repowered, with a stable platform that suits small groups. She takes 25 anglers and holds a seat back for comfort, fishes mostly local water, and mixes in full-day and 12-hour runs through the season.
